Recycling a Good Scheme

A RECYCLING scheme is providing employment for residents of St. Elizabeth’s Home, Much Hadham.

The residents, all of whom have intractable epilepsy and associated disabilities, prepare leaflets and bags for TEX-BAC, a textile recycling scheme operating in Harlow.

The project was given the go-ahead after a successful pilot scheme carried out by residents of St. Elizabeth’s.
“The continuation of this project is really good news for St. Elizabeth’s,” said Janet Sherwin, head of day care services.
“The pilot scheme gave paid employment to 48 of our residents and everyone enjoyed taking part. We look forward to starting again in June.”
